Okay, I get that you did not read the article, obviously, but you didn’t even read the entirely of the excerpt posted.
Donald Trump said he is raising a lot of money for the GOP but if the GOP waves, he will self fund the general (as he did the primaries) and that it is actually easier for him to self fund. By the way, if you were interested in paying attention to what Trump said, instead of trying to find ways to trash him, he always said that while he would fund his primary run, that he would have the party fund the general.
The bunch of you are trying to make Donald Trump look like a liar, and since you did read anything but the headline, it just makes you look foolish.
Well you certainly live up to your name. Happy to have touched a nerve.
NewbieEddyFan, I’m going to assume you a deluded Cruzlim. Time to move on from the primaries or your boy TPA Ted Cruz will take another beating here. Understand?
I need to get a new keyboard, half my keys do not work very well. I meant to type GOP “wavers” not GOP “waves.”
He needs his supporters to donate to him via his website, forget the RNC and raising money for them. They don’t intend to spend that money helping him it appears.
Why anyone thinks he should self fund the general campaign when it has never been the tradition is beyond me.
Exactly. Why the huge flip-flop?
Trump should start with revising his contract with the GOP regarding his joint fundraising such that not a penny he raises goes to any GOP candidate who does not wholeheartedly endorse and defend him. Paul Ryan, for example, comes immediately to mind ...
No nerve touched. Just keeping the name honest.
I was surprised you didn’t come back with a “Yo Mama” joke or something though. You left me a little dissapointed. Unsatisfied.
Oh well.
Trump self-funded his campaign in the primaries. If he runs as a “team” Republican, they funding for all elections gets involved using their data bases, etc.
Thank you. That makes much more sense. Appreciate the tip!
He's the only multi-billionaire who has ever run for President and can well afford it, can't he? How badly does he want to win?
Can he and should he accept private donations as well? Of course.
Trump really could care less about their money, they can do it way he did it...self fund...
He is not obligated to raise funds for anyone yet, the convention isn't here yet...he's still in ‘primary’ mode...
And as far as any pubby raising money for Trump, his Millions of Supporters are sending money to him directly...
The RNC will not be getting a red cent from Trump Supporters, what have they done for us to expect us to support them? NOTHING!!!
Last summer he said he’s prepared to use a billion of his own money for the campaign.
Looks like he might do that.
FU to the GOPe
The GOPe is in the tank for Hillary, lock, stock and barrelhead. They are operating under the illusion that if she is occupying the White House, things will continue as they are. What they do not realize is that Hillary does not like competition. She views every dollar they steal as a dollar she can steal. They will be in the first bunch she rounds up.
Well if he does I certainly wouldn’t blame him.
I didn’t realize there was a double standard here. Only millionaires should receive party assistance and public funding? No billionaires allowed.
Republican conservatives are the sorriest, most dishonest, petty, clannish, jealous and intellectually stupid bunch imaginable.
Feb. 7, 2016:
As Trump spoke to a crowd of hundreds at Plymouth State University, his message was consistent: Everyone else is bought, and that’s why they can’t bring change.
He used Medicare drug prices as his first example he’s joined Democrats in proposing that the government use its clout to negotiate lower drug prices, an idea normally anathema in conservative politics.
“For some reason, I don’t know what the reason is I do know what the reason is, but I don’t know how they can sell it we’re not allowed to negotiate drug prices, can you believe it?” Trump said.
Trump predicted Jeb Bush would avoid taking on the issue as president because Woody Johnson, whose family founded Johnson & Johnson, served as his campaign chairman.

On May 23, Woody Johnson became vice-chairman of the Trump Victory Fund. I don’t know you parse it, but that seems like the kind of influence the candidate warned about just 4 months ago.
Can you clarify your position?
Republican conservatives are the sorriest, most dishonest, petty, clannish, jealous and intellectually stupid bunch imaginable.
Are you referring to The People OR the RNC-GOPe politicians??
When/if he announces he’s self funding the general, I predict the purchase of millions of Trump shirts and hats to occur in the days immediately following, along with checks rolling in.
Mr. Trump is the primary winner and the presumptive Republican candidate, without the use of chicanery to screw him out of it.
If the RNC does not provide all information on their data bases for every precinct in the country he should hire a great hacker to appropriate it from them.
When they scream foul, he should just tell them to shut the f#ck up; he is the ELECTED head of the Party.
The rest of them are just flunkey appointees, hired hacks, and crooked politicians.
