I assumed you would endorse Beruff. Most freepers will I’m sure. Some of you I’m pinging may also loathe Rubio.

As for me, no, I cannot go with a random unknown millionaire who first made the news by calling Obama an animal (he is but saying stuff like that isn’t gonna help us win) over an incumbent Senator with an overall very good record who is obviously a much stronger general election candidate. His blemishes of being untrustworthy on shamnetsty (as sadly so many are) and a bit neo-cony for my taste are far from enough for me to put him on the garbage list. Of the candidates who made it to the final leg of the POTUS race he was my second choice, and I think he’d have been a good VP choice for Trump.

The polling has been very worrisome, I’m glad Rubio broke his “pledge” to retire after being begged to by pretty much every Republican in Washington and Florida. Given Florida’s very late primary his reentering the Senate race if he failed to get on the ticket was always a valid option and given the failure of any of the other candidates to gain traction, and other than DeSantis none of them were demonstrably better than Rubio anyway (and Jolly was far worse), I think this is a very positive development.

Beruff btw supported CRIST for the Senate, even AFTER he started running as an indie and the defacto democrat nominee as most of them abandoned Kendrick Meek, so I’m sorry I don’t buy that he’s Mr. Conservative because he says he is. He’s Mr. Rich guy who wants to buy an office.

I’m glad DeSantis is going back to the House and I hope he has no difficultly in doing so. I’d also love for him to run for Nelson’s seat in ‘18. I assume he can keep his impressive campaign kitty, his strong fundraising has pretty much been the only good news coming out of the FL Senate race till now.

We will never change Washington sending the same con artists and fraudsters back over and over again. I give them one chance to prove themselves. Bubbles Roofio not only failed, he never had any intention of changing the culture of corruption, he was the very instrument to perpetuate the corruption. I’m done with that.
