I work at a soft target. Their plan was, if terrorists attack the building the person manning the front desk was not to buzz them in. The plan if terrorists enter the building was to wait in halls for police to come.
They really don’t understand that the police will not come until the shooting is all over. They will just sit on the perimeter and keep others from entering the site.

Same here. It seems it would be wise for us to also physically visit the exits up close to verify they are not padlocked.
Often at a restaurant, theater, stadium, mall, or wherever...I see them and my assumption is they have those "crash bar" handles to function as expected.
