Heated dispute over Earth's shape leads to fire in Brockville

Brockville Police say a heated discussion about the shape of the Earth led to the fire department being called in.

Police say they were called to St. Lawrence Park around 10:30 Monday, after a family had been involved in a full fledged argument. Apparently a woman was insisting the earth was flat and her boyfriend's father was arguing it is round.

Police say the 56-year-old man became so angry he started to throw things into their camp fire, including a propane cylinder. Brockville Fire was called in to put out the blaze and at some point the man left the scene.

Police say they are now looking for him in order to charge him with mischief.

Investigators say "neither party would change their views."

I have always poo-pooed those things, but I should give that a shot.

Well if in his haste he might have maybe gotten an idea to somehow build a propulsion device, low tech like a galvanized chimney top and a fuel injected four barrel carb he could have maybe fitted the propane tank to it and blasted off. Who knows he might just get to see a bit of the curvature of the horizon.

I used to work with a "flat Earther".

I always wonder how these people can explain the limited horizon one sees when looking out over the ocean.

I've counted calories before, but this makes it easy to track, no pen/paper to worry about. You can search foods, scan labels (I've found only one label that wouldn't scan so far, out of hundreds),input restaurant information, etc... Input exercise, you can even enter your own recipes (ingredients list) and track by the finished product servings. It's really pretty neat. It's My Fitness Pal by Under Armor. They have all sorts of crazy explanations: perspective, vanishing point etc. Too bad math is Kryptonite to flat Earth theory: Jeranism- FLAT Wrong! (Part 1)

Might be news to some folks that the scriptures weren’t originally written in English. The Hebrew word used, kanaph, usually means something like “extremity.” There’s another word or words that serve better for geometric corners.

Maybe they would tell you, “If the King James Bible was good enough for St. Paul, it’s good enough for me!”

It’s true the Bible was originally written in Hebrew, (Greek for N. T. ).

This was done by Hebrew and Greek scholars at Cambridge based on the verbal revelation given to King James at the inside of the hollow earth.

Mat Tyndale then transcribed the English AUTHORIZED version from King James’ notes.

Technically it’s an oblate sphereoid that is “pear shaped.”

That’s from one of the leading scientific celebrities in the modern world.

Hahahahahahaha.

If the curvature scale is correct. You shouldn’t be able to see the entire Chicago and Philly skylines from 50 miles away.

Go try to observe the curvature yourself.

At 20 miles up the horizon is still a straight line.

NASA says all the images of Earth are “composites.”

There is definitely evidence for flat Earth. What would the motive be?

It would be for $, and to deceive people into believing the Earth isn’t special thus helping to cast doubt on a creator. Satan would certainly love to deceive us in such a manner. It’s fact that people will believe what “scientists” say without doing the experiments and math themselves.

If the Earth is flat, it would be “The Great Deception.”

You have to admit, there isn’t much better a conversation-stopper than throwing a propane bottle into a campfire...
