itÂ’s wrong for Americans to condemn homophobia in Islamic cultures, given the discrimination that gay people have faced in the United States

Well ow I would think there may be a slight difference between discrimination and being hung or thrown from the top of a tall building. But then maybe you are not smart enough to understand that......

“So in a country where we have done everything possible to undermine the LGBTQ community, we are suddenly lecturing Islam on homophobia.”

Is she conflating not wanting to bake a gay wedding cake with throwing gays off tall buildings? I suppose from a certain viewpoint they are the same thing... (/s)

ESPN is really, really bad. Besides an occasional college football game I refuse to watch it.

I used to really enjoy the drive into work in the mornings, listening to ESPN's "Mike & Mike" show. Given that ALL they ever seem to talk about any more sports-wise is basketball and soccer, and lately, seem to be delving into political and "societal" issues, I have stopped listening entirely. I don't need some sports' "journalist" lecturing me on things, or telling me what I should or should not care about.

It’s just a difference in language.

We hear “no political statements” and think one thing. They mean something else.

To us (me), “political” covers a wide range of topics and positions on those topics.

To them, “political” covers the conservative positions on all of those topics. The liberal position is “common sense” so it’s not “political”.

Because Ms. Hill is black, and thus disciplining her would be a prima facie act of RAAAAAAACISM.

(that’s what they’re thinking anyway)
