A nation that spends its time and energy laying the ground rules for which bathrooms a "transgender" person is allowed to use can't possibly expect anyone -- even a radical Islamic terrorist -- to have any kind of standards.
To be fair, those sorts of things have been pushed on the people. IOW, to say that's "the nation" is to exclude a huge chunk of the people in favor of a minority comprised of the media and the government. — Donald Trump's popularity is a direct result of disgust with those pushing such junk, keep that in mind.
(You're seeing the "pendulum swing back", either the government will fall into line with the real will of the people, or it will be destroyed… just like the communist government of Romania.)
