FWIW - I never had a problem with Mohammad Ali and his views on marriage. He was strongly against inter-racial marriage and probably gay marriage as well.

I respect people with whom I disagree with as long as they never take it to the next level - calling people 'Haters' who disagree with your point of view.

In the case of the GLB community, being called a 'hater' for disagreeing on over the definition of marriage has really drained my sympathy well. I feel like an abused wife who suddenly has to deal with the death of the abusive husband. I'm searching for sympathy, but there isn't much there.
