Blacks will not vote for any R, even a Black one. Even JC Watts never got the Black vote.

As for the Black vote? Trump just on his strong stance on immigration, has a much more powerful weapon to out poll any recent Republican with the Black vote. It is the flood from South of the border that is killing opportunities for Black youth.
He has already started to pivot to clearly play that very real--and legitimate card.
Picking a non-White running mate, on the other hand, would be seen as a form of pandering--rejected by Leftists as cynical;--rejected by Rightists as weakening the rejection of "political correctness."
Just bluntly discussing the reality of who is taking whose jobs, is the way to cut deeply into what the Democrats have taken for granted.
