Amazing feat of chutzpah? No, expected lies. But apparently the poor author of this piece didn't hear that "There isn't a single segment of the economy that isn't better off today than when I took office." Try to get up to speed there Daniel

>>I often use per-capita economic output when comparing nations.

When Obama touts his success with the economy, he really means that he has lowered the expectations of the average person far enough that the reduced income isn’t the crisis it should be.

He has a long way to go in his drive to lower our standard of living enough that we can compete on the global labor market with third-world nations, but he has laid the groundwork. We have an entire generation that does not expect to retire, own property, get married for life, have a career, or even raise their own children (the last one is for the males only).

On the other hand, they told the children of my generation that the world would run out of energy by 2000, pollution would make the air and water poison, there would be an ice age, but the good news was that we’d all die in a nuclear fireball long before that happened. Yet, we persevered and kept hoping for a better future.

The Millennials do not have hope. Obama took that from them. Hillary will seal their future. Bernie was their only hope and it was a stupid hope that socialism would create a bright future.

Without Trump (and possibly even with him), America has no future as a free and prosperous nation. It will still be a land mass with people, but no different than any other third-world sh!thole.

That’s a good measure.

Another is the total amount of energy available to the average (technically “mean”) person.

That’s what the whole global warming scam is about: disempowering the regular person so the elites have control.

“income” is the old way of measuring. Now days we need to look at job compensation but also include food stamps, obamacare, and a host of other government payments. The average family is better off today than when Obama took office when you include those things. At least according to Pelosi (I think that’s who said it)

My income hasn't risen in 5 years, but my health insurance has gone up about $3000.00 in the last 2 years. Not to mention rising prices on almost everything. So yes,

I AM NOT BETTER OFF NOW THAN I WAS 8 YEARS AGO!!!

F U B O!

We are coming to the end of another government created boom.

I’m sure income is up on average (maybe by 10% in real terms), but housing prices are way up (maybe by 50% in real terms).

People can buy more food and Chinese-made stuff, but my neighbor Bob and his wife Amy have missed out on buying a house this economic cycle.

Government didn’t raise interest rates when housing prices started to rise, so people are now priced out and the boom is turning towards bust.

Until Social Security payments go away, or get cut significantly, I am beating the system.

I waited until my full retirement age of 66 to apply, so I am getting my full payment each month, AND I can keep working full time without that income reducing the SSA payments.

As a result, I am now receiving a total annual amount that, if converted to 1993 dollars, is more than I made in 1993.

In 1983, I had a wife and a child, and now it’s just me, so i am miles ahead.

Also, if I do the same math for my 1977 earnings, I am making more than in 1977. Still miles ahead.

And it’s not stolen money, ‘cause I earned the SSA payments over the years. It’s MY money.

The comment I have heard most from liberal pundits is: we created 14,000,000 jobs.

However, there’s this little item: 94,800,000 people are no longer working in America. Hmmmmm ..??

So, that means that the 5% unemployment NUMBER IS A LIE.

Average Family Today Has Less Income Than When Obama Took Office(?)

Now there's one poll you will never see...

I'm guessing the response would be 80% "yes" among the parasites, and 98% "NO" Among the non-government net taxpaying citizens and families with productive jobs...

Lying Hillary will continue spouting the false narrative that Obama spins, knowing the nation is in much worse shape than when this incompetent came into office.

I never thought I’d lose my job given my field in computers.
My last day of employment was 02May15.

You cannot imagine the animus I hold towards Obama and the public schooled morons who twice elected this feral jackal.

Obama is the son of a vulgar, classless tramp.
A woman devoid in the most basic level of morals.

I know we have way less. It’s being eaten up in property tax and health insurance.

I have been out of work since April 2015, so I’m definitely one of those Americans who got a pay cut under Obama. My income has fallen to nothing. Nada, zilch.

I make significantly less than I did thirty years ago and pay more taxes. With insurance being called income and the work based taxes at both the State and Federal level raising, my take home pay is much less.
