Kamala Harris, Loretta Sanchez Claim Runoff Spots In California US Senate Race
The Sacramento Bee ^ | June 7, 2016

In a historic first, California voters Tuesday sent two Democrats, both minority women, to a November runoff for the state’s open U.S. Senate seat.

The matchup between state Attorney General Kamala Harris and 10-term Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez marks the first time since voters started electing senators a century ago that Republicans will be absent from California’s general election ballot for the Senate. The outcome reaffirms the GOP’s diminished stature in the nation’s most populous state.

The two were among 34 candidates seeking the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Barbara Boxer, a liberal favorite first elected a generation ago, in 1992.

Under California election rules, only two candidates – the top vote-getters – advance to the November election.

” All that will remain in California will be bums and retired people...and the hoards working for the “government”

If not for Silicon Valley and their Leftist CEO’s continuing to set up shop in California this State would be worst off than Illinois. That tax base is all that is propping up California, well that, Disney and 75,000 Taco trucks.

How CA can get away with this rigged Election system defies all Logic.

Then again, I live here and FR is based here.

That defies all Logic too. LOL

I’m nearing from many that both candidates are repulsive, but that Kamala Harris is more dangerous.

CA is hosed. Done. Finished. The gimme vote here is fully established and immovable. I can’t say what it might take to flip this around, but I would be surprised if it can be done in under 30 years.

Probably; they repeal prop 13 and prop taxes skyrocket, and “skyrocket” will be a mild term. This will in large part kick most old white people out of their homes, as they simply will not be able to pay the prop taxes. Prop tax collections will thereby ramp, and those funds will be immediately claimed by the various unions that run this state. In 10 or so years past the repeal of prop 13, CA will resemble Brazil, and the demand for entitlements will simply explode. Only the very wealthy and the very poor will be able to live here.

It’s tragic, CA was an absolute paradise when I came here 45 years ago. I am not going to say “my California”, but this is like seeing a loved one consumed by a chronic and fatal disease. Now it’s like a near-corpse where it’s easy to see buzzard after buzzard coming after every scrap of meat left on whatever bones are left. It WILL be Mexico north by the time this cycle runs. Demographically, this is now inevitable.

“How CA can get away with this rigged Election system defies all Logic.”

That’s easy.

Look who their feckless opposition is.

The CAL GOPe gave us Neel Kashkari for a nominee.

Neel Kashkari, who admits to voting for Obama. Who supports gay marriage, amnesty, gun control, and abortion.

That’s the candidate that Hewitt, Medved, Romney, and Condi Rice supported while denouncing Tea Party favorite Tim Donnolly

Harris is FAR more dangerous. The other is a shlump who will at least end her career in the senate. If Harris wins, you are looking at a future president. Please do your research, Californians. Don’t was the a vote by writing in and all that stuff—vote for Sanchez. Many conservatives even did that in the primary to insure she would run off against Harris. The highest vote total republican got 8%—THAT is California. THAT is reality. Harris is Obama mixed with Sanders. Believe it, please research and try to stop Harris. That is the imperative. I frankly don’t believe it is possible to stop her, but Sanchez is the only way.

They are, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Sanchez cuts a deal with Republicans, just not sure what she has to offer up.

Millions upon millions of Americans left California. It is effectively a one party state. Population growth is solely due to illegal immigration now, and their offspring. People in other places in the country do not realize this.
It is as one party as North Korea. NO republican statewide office holders.
Near SUPERMAJORITIES in both houses. This state is not in play in Nov—there are not enough of us.

Loretta Sanchez is a sock puppet for the Hollywood Left with some La Raza mixed in.

Her first venture into politics was as a Republican under her married name of Brixey. Anaheim city council run if I recall correctly. She didn’t win.

By the time she challenged Bob Dornan she began using her maiden name of Sanchez in order to rally latinos to her side. She likely won due to massive voter fraud by Hermindad Mexicana Nacional that the fools at the GOP wouldn’t challenge.

She’s mostly as dumb as a box of rocks, but she’s shameless and has plenty of ambition and powerful supporters.

them than he was us.

Dornan was an open borders fool who refused to acknowledge that illegal immigration was a huge problem.

He was worthless until Sanchez took his seat away from him and then surprise, surprise, he learned what his own constituents had been yelling about for years while he was dismissing their pleas for help.

Then, when he legitimately asked for an investigation into voter fraud, his pals like Jerry Lewis wouldn’t lift a finger to help him. The RNC was already into full amnesty mode.

Will the Gov be paying the gimmedats new high Property taxes? I just don't see enough rich people coming into California to take over the housing left behind under your scenario. They certainly will want nothing to do with cities like San Bernardino, Barstow, Apple Valley....... It will drive a stake through what small businesses that left.

Maybe they can try to make it proportional, jacking up rates on 1 million dollar plus homes.....the left is great about going after the rich, here is an opportunity.

California should be the example used to explain what happens when you allow leftists and illegal aliens control the state. Interesting campaign from this respect. You have a Latino and a black candidate squaring off. I’m fascinated to see how genial or nasty these race becomes. Blacks have to know their power base within the Democratic Party is gonna be seriously threatened with the ascendancy of Latinos. This is the bellwether race in the nation that will tell us if these groups can co-exist and share power in the Democratic Party or if one group will try to roll over the other one.

be happy to sit that one out. there’s no corrupt, romneyite republican in the race to stab us in the back, all the blame for the failures of either of them falls on the ruling dems, and we get a rookie leftist senator replacing a senior leftist senator. that’s as good as it gets for conservatives in ca, since there are no real gop conservatives outside of mcclintock left in ca.

Gosh, you mean 8 years of Governor Ahnuld didn't "bring the businesses back" and "put California IN PLAY for the GOP"? His supporters swore up and down that's what would happen if California had a "Republican" Governor for 2 terms.

Brown just put 2 billion more into the rainy day fund. What other state can do that? Certainly not Kansas which is a disaster.
