I’ve met Gordie and his sons back during their time with the Houston Aeros. Always a true gentleman and a true champion. He played hard and he played to win and he used every trick in the book to beat you on the ice but he never let it carry over to the next game. The WHA may not have existed without Gordie or spawned four teams that were absorbed into the NHL (sadly, not Houston which still amazingly has no NHL team while places like Miami and Phoenix do).
He led a full and successful life. #9RIP
I forgot he was also in Houston.
