Colorado Has 40 Times More Natural Gas Than Once Believed
Daily Caller ^ | 6-9-16 | Chris White

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) officials said Wednesday that western Colorado has upwards of 40 times more natural gas than previously believed, making it the second largest natural gas producing formation in the U.S.

The Mancos Shale formation in Colorado’s Piceance Basin, located in the western section of Colorado, nestles nearly 70 trillion (66.3 trillion) cubic feet of gas. This marks a massive uptick from the 1.6 trillion cubic feet estimated in 2003, research shows.

A trillion cubic feet of natural gas, according to the U.S. Energy Department, is enough to heat 15 million homes for a year — 66. 3 trillion cubic feet of gas, therefore, is capable of warming hundreds of millions of homes.

They’re not. Read the “ The Deep, Hot Biosphere” by Thomas Gold. Oil and natural gas are continuously created by the Earth.

gosh, that’s a brilliant piece of counter rhetoric that is the first start in a better understanding of these abundant, awesome, clean and cheap natural resources

It may as well be on the moon- the Feds and the state have the leases in federal land locked up tighter than a drum and the state is busy pouring more onerous regulations on by the minute.

Most of the natural gas companies that are still left around here are in pure survival mode. One of my kids got laid off today.

**** “I’m in the Houston area, and keep it 78 during the day and 76 at night in aummer, 72 in winter” ****

South Texas here ... No AC so that summer setting doesn’t matter but if I set my Winter Thermostat at 72 in the Winter, I’d be wearing Long Johns in the house. I’m acclimated to heat, cool not so much.

I can’t stand the heat. My body metabolism runs so hot, I’m like a furnace. In the winter? I’m as happy as can be. I should move up north, but my wife says she’s not. For now, I’ll stay put. When the kids get older and move out? I’m moving north.

You do know that I meant ‘positions on women’ don’t you? ;-)

They don’t seem to be taking any positions on me either. :`(
