BALTIMORE | The judge who will decide the fate of a police officer charged in the death of Freddie Gray on Thursday blasted city prosecutors for failing to turn over evidence that could exculpate the officer.
On the opening day of the trial for Officer Caesar Goodson, Baltimore Circuit Judge Barry Williams said that prosecutors violated Maryland court rules when they failed to turn over to the defense a discussion with Donta Allen, the second man placed inside the transport van after Gray was injured.
“I’m saying you don’t understand what exculpatory means. I’m telling you that this [evidence] needs to be considered,” Judge Williams told prosecutors. “If you don’t understand that then I don’t know what else you don’t understand.”

Please tell me, how can Marilyn Mosby and her merry little band of attorneys get the guilty verdict, they need in order to prevent the next round of riots and to insure their reelection(s), if the judge requires them to give the defense attorneys the evidence that could clear the defendants.

,,,,,,, besides all this prosecutorial misconduct the city has granted a 6.4 million dollar settlement to be paid to the Gray family before one trial date was set . Since then one case had a hung jury and will be retied and their have been two acquittals granted by this same judge with three more to come . Two of the six have filed suit against Mosby and the Prosecutors . I hope Mosby is disbarred and sent packing off to the Antarctic to cool her 5” spike heels . She was looking to make a name for herself and by God she has surely accomplished that . Moron Mosby the overzealous States atty. with a walnut brain . My prayers are with these six officers and the minority judge who has found his way to deliver a fair and just result for those tried so far . Freddy Gray was a career criminal with multiple convictions . The Numb nut Mayor , Rawlings Blake and the States Atty. Mosby requested an increased police presence in the Sandtown Winchester neighborhood because of increased drug sales and criminal activity . Now !!!!! how do you think the moral is within the Balt. City Police Dept. these days having support like this from their justice system ??? ,,,, and don’t forget that 6.4 million dollar reward given before one trial was set .
As an attorney, I can say that that Court Rules have great import. There is the law, and there are the rules. The law was made by the legislature, the rules were made by the Court. When you are in Court, you can argue the law, but you do not mess with the rules.

The judge should file a complaint with the Bar Association.

Agree......none of this should have come this far and Rawlins-Blake should be held accountable for settling with the Gray family BEFORE the trials started!! Baltimore is a lost cause!!

I mistakenly thought he served a much longer sentence. Otoh, there are pics of him all over the net in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs. That’s worth something, anyway.
,,, thank you ,,, we have a gang in Balt.City known as the Black Gorilla Gang who have been terrorizing the city for years killing one another along with many innocent good people . We also have gangs of dirt bikers and 4 wheelers running wild thru the streets in large masses terrorizing neighborhoods with literally no law enforcement intervention .The mayor , Rawlings-Blake during the Freddy Gray riots gave the stand down order to the city police officers while they were being attacked with rocks and bottles . She told the police to give the rioters space to destroy property at their will and so on . It was total anarchy and mayhem with millions of dollars of property destroyed . A white mayor would be in big trouble had they done such a thing .
0bama set these wheels in motion by attacking the police in Missouri for the way they handled the shooting of a career thug there . Remember ,,,, HANDS UP DON”T SHOOT which was proved to never happened He acted like there was a intended war against young black inner city youths by the police which was a big lie . That gave birth to the BLACK LIVES MATTER movement . The great uniter himself brought all this on and he did it on purpose . Now police in many places are wearing video cams and are constantly in fear of personal law suits resulting from criminals with deep pocketed lawyers .
Its called “prosecurial misconduct”. The cases should be dismissed and then these Attorneys should be disbarred.
We have a beautiful inner harbor area in the downtown area but many people are afraid to go down town any longer and tourism , the Convention Center , Aquarium and other attractions suffer from the lose of revenues as the city continues to dwindle under a minority regime unable to deal with the crime . Their answer ,,, more federal dollars to prop them up .
