To: Sub-Driver

When I was in grade school, they warned us that:

1. There would be no more oil by 1980.

2. Women would not be able to breastfeed their babies by 1980 because their milk would have too many pollutants and it would kill the babies.

3. By 1980, everyone would have to live within 100 miles of the equator because pollution was going to freeze the world.

To any of my grade school teachers who are still alive, thanks for the misinformation.

We must have been unsuccessfully brainwashed by the same hive-mind. Mine told me that, in my lifetime:

• The world’s oceans would be the major suppliers of food.

• The forests were being destroyed and would not be replaced.

• Due to world-wide overpopulation, there would be severe food shortages leading to regional wars and perhaps a global one.

It seems that my 8th grade earf science teacher espoused some of the same idiocy.
