onald Trump has essentially seized the Republican presidential nomination, and now he has a key decision: Who will be his running mate?
Trump has benefited from his outsider status, but the billionaire businessman has said his vice presidential pick will likely have political experience.
In an interview with the Associated Press earlier this week, Trump repeated that idea and said his list of choices included "five or six" people.
Some possible picks have indicated openness to the job; other prominent Republicans have forcefully said they would not join Trump on a ticket.
Trump plans to announce his No. 2 at the Republican National Convention in July and has asked his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, to head the team vetting candidates.

Duncan D Hunter
Jim DeMint
Jeff Sessions
It MUST be someone who has always been on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
No cheap labor importers.
IMHO, Jefferson Sessions of Alabama is at the top of the list, though not a sure choice. He backed Donald early and he and Trump seem to get along very well.
Mary Fallin of Oklahoma is probably on the list. Bob Corker of Tennessee, which would be a lame choice, but has national security credentials. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee is well-regarded by many conservative insiders and is photogenic. Chris Christie of New Jersey has been a stalwart, but is unpopular in his home state. Newt Gingrich is looking less likely to be the choice and IMHO shouldn’t be.
Well THERE’S a brilliantly stated headline !
I have no idea who he will pick, but I suspect that when his pick is announced, it will be someone very surprising, and an excellent candidate.
YOU friggin' retards are the outsiders ! ! !
I’m ready to accept Chris Christie or Rick Perry.
No Dr. Ben please, or Jindahl either.
Corker?
His national security credentials are the Corker bill which stood the Constitution on its head so Owebowmao could get his deal with Iran so they could get the bomb.
I was thinking if Bernie Sanders somehow beats Clinton he would pick that Communist Van Jones.
I like Chris Christy, at least he is a fighter, a good brawler who we need.
Whoever it is, the Trump folks should contact this person long before the announcement is made. Give that person a week or two or three to consider what it will mean, how it will change their privacy forever.
Some people are not willing to fling open the doors to their private lives, and allow the opposition media full access. Who can blame them? There was a senator from Indianna who was considered for VP in 2012, but his wife didn’t want the extreme closeup, and he was taken out of consideration. Can’t think of the senator’s name. He was short in stature, plainspoken and mostly bald.
Why can’t he be his own VP? He doesn’t need anybody?
Who to pick?
1. Rick Perry
2. Jeff Sessions.
3. Newt G.
4. Rudy G.
5. Sarah Palin

...
When Trump gave testimony to Congress back in the early 1990’s I saw him and Jeff Sessions together. They’ve known each other a long time.
Sessions should be rewarded w/ the VP job.
He got Donald off on the right foot-—to ntl acclaim.
Sessions composed the magnificent Immigration Magna Carta for Donald.
Sessions knows his stuff....a former prosecutor.....he’d make an invaluable VP.
Avoid every elected republican.
Not one of them has done anything that deserve them being advanced. They are all worms.
Avoid newt Gingrich. Dude has diarrhea of the mouth and brain.
Consider Allen West. There is a man.
Beyond that, I don’t know.
IN Gov. Mitch Daniels

I think that anyone on his list already knows that. I doubt he’s going to go find his some “Joe Sixpack” and ask him to be VP.
Allen West
