“When Russia is going into Ukraine … I don’t hear from the other countries in NATO. I don’t hear from Germany. I only hear from the United States,” Trump told ABC’s This Week in March.
In an interview on Meet the Press last August, Trump reiterated his view that Germany, the fourth largest economy in the world, should take a bigger responsibility in European security affairs. “Where’s Germany?” he said. “Why isn’t Germany leading this charge? Why is the United States?”
During a news conference in September, Trump pledged to “renegotiate some our military costs,” and specifically called out Germany. “We protect everybody and we don’t get reimbursement,” he said.

Trump is asking for payment for protection. That is very expensive and the Europeans simply do not want to pay so they act all indignant at Trump.

Trump is spot on on foreign policy. He’s taken it to the next level and is getting ahead of the game.
To me, this is the most critical point for USA-2016.
We are more than broke. No super-power can exist with a bankrupt treasury. If USA was a corporation, it’s stock would be at zero. And this the main reason I have supported Trump since he began the campaign a year ago. He is the only one who gets it.
The neocons who want us to be the policeman of the world are the real enemies of hard working middle class and the young generation and future generations.
I’m pretty sure none of the European countries spend their minimum required percent of GDP, although several say they do by including military pensions and other non-combat expenses.
