The judge is a member of La Raza lawyers association of San Jose which has the express purposes of promoting the interests of Latino communities throughout California, presumably this includes the illegal immigrant community, which obviously creates a conflict in him presiding over a politically charged case with a candidate who has the strong enforcement of immigration law as a major platform.

Seeing this conflict of interest does not indicate racism, rahter it indicates that one is not an idiot.

How plausible can the Democrats (and Curiel) keep the deniability. That’s a big question here.

And “La Raza” is a more in-your-face expression than “Hispanic Affairs” is.
