Clinton Wins Puerto Rico Primary, Now Just Shy Of Clinching Nomination

Hillary Clinton won today's Democratic primary in Puerto Rico, according to the Associated Press.

With about a quarter of precincts reporting, Clinton had about two-thirds of the vote. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders had about one-third.

Delegates from Puerto Rico put Clinton just shy of the 2,383 delegates she needs to clinch the Democratic nomination — and become the first woman to win the nomination of a major party in American politics. The Associated Press puts her less than 30 delegates from that threshold.

“That count includes superdelegates”

Who haven’t voted and who are not bound to any “pledges”.

This is far from over.

I just read the USA Today story just pulled.

I think the author is right people no longer care about character and honor and telling the truth.

Back in the 90s, after Bill Clinton perjured himself in court, Americans shrugged and bought into his argument he lied about sex.

So perjury was excused and now his wife ran roughshod over her own State Department’s security policy and told one lie after another and Americans shrugged and bought her argument she was too ignorant to know what the policy was in her office.

And today, we have someone for whom lying is a matter of habit being handed the nomination of a major party. When she was fired as House lead counsel in 1973 for compromising the Whitewater investigation, we thought that was it.

In many ways, Hillary is more venal than Nixon in that she really considers herself special and doesn’t need to be held accountable because of her connections and the privileged treatment she’s received most of her adult life.

If she isn’t, than its to our national disgrace and we’d deserve her as our President because we have demonstrated we care about none of the things that truly matter.

I’d love to be proved wrong and no one has ever gone broke underestimating the gullibility of the American people.

Well for one thing, Puerto Rico shouldn’t be voting in our G-damn elections. PERIOD!

Make that happen Trump.

It looks as though it will be the commie ‘RATS, not the GOP, who will be having the chaotic “contested convention”. And the commie lib, state-controlled “media” has been worried about the GOP for the past year. ROTFL!

PR is not a US state and brings no electoral votes to the table in November.

Neither do the US VI, Mariana Islands and Guam.

I realize all of that. My point is they shouldn’t be voting in US elections in any way shape or form precisely because they are NOT a US state.

Political parties determine who their nominee is anyway they like. They could flip a coin, roll dice, or let bob sled team members from Tasmania choose their nominee.
