Lawsuits to follow?
There should be many.
It seems criminal for a police chief to refuse to order the men/women under his command to protect the public in his jurisdiction. He had to have taken an oath to do just that. As, one assumes, did each and every cop in his department.
Hopefully Trump will file one.
