Dismemberment abortion ban takes effect in West Virginia

On Sunday, West Virginia’s Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Act officially took effect.

The law, which bans D&E abortions, passed in February but was vetoed by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. As Live Action News’ Calvin Freiburger reported, less than 24 hours later, West Virginia’s House and Senate overwhelmingly voted to override the veto. According to NRL News, the ban on dismemberment abortions was supported by 100% of West Virginia’s women senators and 83% of women delegates.

The ban received extensive bipartisan support, and State Sen. Ryan Ferns argues that the ban is just common sense legislation. “We’re talking about ripping an unborn fetus, part by part, to cause death and create the abortion,” said Ferns, calling the procedure a “horrific experience.”

Dr. Anthony Levatino, a former abortionist, describes the horrific D&E procedure in the following video:

Meanwhile, a similar ban on dismemberment abortion was signed by Louisiana’s pro-life Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards on Tuesday, and is set to take effect on August 1.

So it’s ok to kill them, just as long as they’re not ripped apart?

The law does not say that. The law bans certain actions and is silent on others.

There are other ways to kill babies that do not involve dismembering them.

An abortionist can inject a lethal drug directly into the baby’s heart. I’ve also read where abortionists tried to inject metal rings into a baby’s heart to stop it from beating—it was an experimental method that did not work, although the manipulation of the baby caused the mother to miscarry (the intent was to kill one of a pair of twins; both ended up dying). Some abortionists break the child’s neck.

I’m sorry for being so graphic. It is a horrible thing to think of babies being murdered so cruelly to save their mothers from the inconvenience of using birth control.

Even first term abortions done as D&C involve cutting and suction. I can’t see how tbat can be done without dismembering. It is all sick, cruel murder.
