Hillary Clinton 's spokesman, Brian Fallon, said in an interview Sunday that the Democratic presidential front-runner often has media availabilities at the end of events, defending her against criticisms that she has not held a news conference in several months.
"There's no reluctance," he said on CNN.
"At the end of the day, we will do an avail...where she informally comes out after an event has concluded, after she's taken some photos and some selfies, and she will literally stand there for 15, 20 minutes and answer questions from her traveling press corps, including the embeds from the various networks."
Fallon said a media availability and a press conference are often "just defined by whether you have a banner behind you or a podium in front of you."
"But the reality, bottom line, is that she's answering questions from the reporters that are covering her day to day."
Clinton has come under fire for having gone more than 180 days without holding a news conference. Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump hit on Clinton, saying the candidate "should be admonished for not having a press conference."
Fallon said on CNN that the campaign knows Clinton needs to be "accessible and responsive to questions."
"We're going to continue to do that in a variety of formats."
He added that Clinton will sometimes put an emphasis on local radio, local television and print interviews, as opposed to national media.
"I think it needs to be a mix," he said.
Oh the wind blew and the .............
At Hillary presser,
Reporter: “Um, ma’am, if you get a kitten, what would you name her?”
There’s no reluctance .................. Does not apply if the families of Woods and Doughty are present.
Don’t believe your lying eyes... we have pressers all the time!
Another lie......
Do these people really enjoy insulting our intelligence???
Or do they expect the media to cover for them???
There is a huge difference between informally taking some questions after a campaign event, with rock music playing loudly in the background, and the tough questions, if any, just ignored, and a formal press conference where questions come at you, one by one.
There’s a huge difference between an interview by a Clintonista such as George Stephanopolus pretending to be a journalist, and an interview by someone on Fox News.
Could it be everyone was afraid to ask or was she sleeping when the phone rang?
It’s just that there exists a ban that H->! won’t break. She has principles and knows how to obey the rules.
I’m sure with all the bad Hillary news, such as the devastating inspector general report regarding her email set up, that Hillary wants to avoid a formal news conference.
It’s obvious to me, that Hillary is afraid of being asked questions about subjects she would rather avoid. If the email questions come up, she has to worry about the perjury trap. And also has to worry how it looks, if she declines to answer questions.
The Trumpster is living rent free in her head.
Gives Baghdad Bob credibility...

Oh yes, very, very, very much!
... do they expect the media to cover for them???
Oh yes, very, very, very much!

may this modern day Jezebel be visited in her sleep by the angel of death
And it be soon, soon, soon. This instant would not be too soon foe me.
Maybe I should make another one with 'cough, cough, cough' instead of her barking...
Arf! Bump!
Exactly. It’s a flat out lie to say the only difference is a banner and a podium. The entirety of a press conference is seen and recorded. There is overwatch, so to speak. In these informal press “avails”, much more can fly under the radar. It’s simply a lower level of rigor.
