We just got back from Portland a couple of weeks go. Leftists are streaming in from all over. Housing prices are going through the roof. Tent cities EVERYWHERE. I saw the sun shine maybe twice. But the worst part was the haughty pretentiousness of the inhabitants. Portlandia has it nailed. One week was enough.

The lady next to me on a plane, last week, was from Hillsborough. During our polite conversation she kept bringing up the effects of climate change. She seemed convinced that Oregon was being overrun by "climate refugees."

I chose not to engage her on those topics because I am not a mental health professional.
