Portland has become a hellhole made by left wingers with zero tolerance for anyone daring to question their left wing dogmas.
One of our younger relatives just celebrated his 10th year escape from Portland. He is a conservative independent, who doesn’t believe in free lunches and socialism. He has long list of people like him, who left the Portland area to get way from the left wingers.
A couple, who are among our closest friends are best described as a cross between old democrats and conservative independents had a similar experience with their daughter and SIL. The young couple was still growing out of their 30 something liberalism, when their SIL got a teaching offer in Portland. Their daughter was between jobs, and they loved to visit the Portland area with its great outdoor activities.
A year later, they moved back. She could never find a good job. Her husband said that his teaching peers were basically communists, and their religion was Gorebal warming. They told our younger relative, they should have listened to him. He is a good writer, and I suggested that he should write a book like how we escaped from the liberal hellhole, Portland, Or..shortened title, “Escaping from Liberal Portland”!
Liberals took it over for the mild Portland climate.

What surprises me is the state of Oregon commies are not taking the same position as the Portland commies.

We caught some audio of the portlandia school super on the Joe Pags show a few days ago. WOW! Talk about revealing the total indoctrination of kids from pre-K through 12th grade. She said they “need” to become climate/enviro activists and they “need” to be “taught” how this should take place throughout their education. WTF? NO opposition will be tolerated. NO counter arguments will be given.
“AGENDA UBER ALLES!” - the usual cry of the academented.
Defund ‘em, it’s the only cure.
