I fear you are correct. The recent unpleasantness in Baltimore showed that. Police ordered to stand down to give rioters room to destroy.
I hope other PD’s will be looking at doing a better job and not just standing by. As of now, I don’t blame the officers so much if it comes out that there was a stand down order from the Mayor and/or the Chief of Police. We had huge issues here during WTO and a few other things. The other issue is that police are sometimes afraid to use force due to all of the bad publicity of just a few and the riots, lawsuits, and trials (Mr. T has discussed this). We should not allow any of these illegal aliens and/or union and other thugs to disrespect our rule of law and injure our police and/or those going to a rally.
I live VERY near Channel Islands Harbor, you should feel VERY lucky to have left the area although it is quite beautiful it is like living in Mexico EVERY year becomes more unbearable!!!!! This is such a high cost of living area I DO NOT understand how ALL of the immigrants afford living in this area!!!

Years ago, a friend of mind was a Major on a PD. IIRC at that time it wasn’t legal for regular citizens to carry mace, but he gave me some as he said he wanted me to be able to protect myself.
