Going Inside The Chicago Police Departments Strategic Subject List May 31, 2016 7:58 AM Audio
CHICAGO (CBS) Chicago suffered through an especially bloody holiday weekend, with 69 people shot over the Memorial Day weekend, including six fatalities.
Police said the vast majority of the victims were on a watchlist of sorts what the department calls its strategic subject list.
CBS 2s Mai Martinez sat down with the Chicago Police Departments top brass to talk about how the list works.
The strategic subject list uses an algorithm to try to predict who is most likely to be involved in a shooting either as the shooter or victim by analyzing data such as gang affiliations, criminal records, past shootings, and previous contact with police.
Police use the data to reach out to individuals on the strategic subject list to try to get them help before a shooting occurs.
The list includes about 1,500 people, who police have said are responsible for the majority of gun violence in Chicago.
Shaquon Thomas was on the strategic subject list until he was slain in May 2015.
He was a suspect in a case report. Hes arrested. Hes a victim here. He was shot, said CPD Deputy Chief Jonathan Lewin.
So how does someone get on the list?
We dont give out the specific list of variables, but its things like subjects trendline in criminal activity, Lewin said. One of the highlights of this model is that it does not use race, gender, ethnicity, or geography.

Sounds like the plot line from “Person of Interest”

maybe they can use the TSA random arrow to pick out which guys to follow around...
So......the cops are doing the killing?
Just like various Obama Federal agencies like the IRS watching Conservatives and nothing but crickets from MSM.
This Chicago ‘secret’ watch list, of citizens which has not been disclosed to the rank and file police officers is the subject of the ‘Second City Cop Blog’, where street cops are questioning what other ‘secret’ list, Mayor Emanuel has?

Publish the List?
So Eddie keeps talking about this “list.” This “Strategic Subject List” or SSL is a list of individuals who are either prone to be shot, to being a shooter, or having some sort of inclination toward violent crime. The higher your SSL-Score, the more likely you are to be a “justice involved individual.”
This list was supposedly created via an “algorithm” on city time, by city employees, using police records and court records - all paid for with taxpayer money.

I read an article on the original study on which the list was based. It turns out that if the person was arrested with someone else in the last 18 months that his chances of being murdered were 80% greater than if he had not been arrested recently with someone else. The theory was that people who were arrested with somebody else both associated with dangerous people and did dangerous, arrestable things.
Although they don’t control for race, in the sections of Chicago where they do the arresting the populace is predominantly black.
it doesn't use race, gender, thenicity or geography but shazaammmm....they turn out to be black anyway you look at it....
they should do themselves a favor and some time and money and basically just look for "black male"....
there was a study that I read about somewhere that IF you were a victim of a shooting you either had a 50% chance of having been shot before or a 50% chance of being shot again....
