Sunday on CNNs Fareed Zakaria GPS, The Wall Street Journals deputy editorial page editor Bret Stephens argued against presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trumps candidacy and said he must be decisively rebuked to the point that it will teach Republican voters a lesson".

Pauline Kael redux? Mr. Stephens is in for disappointment November 8th.
I think the globalist international banker corporatists are free to form their own party. They will surely get 1% of the popular vote every tine.
Of the worst kind. Nice find. (we have to research the background of these naysayers as a common practice, don't we?) Maybe we should coin a new term for them.....how does Neo-Illuminati sound?
No, it’s for you and your sons to fight the battles he thinks needs to be fought - he’s attending that bulwark of American patriotism and ideals: the University of Chicago.
The Townshend Revenue Act taxed tea, glass, lead, oil, paint, and paper. All of these taxes were repealed except the tax on tea in 1770. The tea tax was kept in order to assert the ruling class’s right in Parliament to tax the colonies, to teach the common people among the colonists a lesson. How hard do those who consider themselves our ruling class really want to push to teach the common people a lesson today?
Obamacare is being rejected by productive Americans. Amnesty is also being rejected by those who work for a living. The same is true for additional infringements on our God-given individual right to keep and bear arms. Just as there was no room for compromise on those taxes in 1770, there is no room for compromise on Amnesty, Obamacare, and gun rights. GOP leadership efforts to compromise on freedom (Jeb, Rubio, McConnell, Boehner, Ryan, Christie, and Kasich included) are why Trump won, and the only lesson voters can be taught by further ruling class resistance would be exceptionally painful for millions.
A few months ago, I read through my family history, and my relatives fought on both sides in the first Civil War. Many of my ancestors died in that war, and they lost so many siblings that I gave up on counting. War is one of the worst options imaginable, which is why those who want power have been able to push decent people so far. The problem that democrat and republican party leaders are now encountering is that there are worse things than war. We are getting to the point where that’s no longer an abstract idea.
Option 1: They back off and allow Trump to at least partially restore the lost balance, with government more closely following its constitutional limits.
Option 2: If Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Romney, the Chambers of Commerce, and others who think they have the power will not accept Option 1, “We hold these truths to be self-evident . . .”
What concerns me is there are so many factions in America that have no allegiance to America, only what they're able obtain from our society. Sucking the juice of life from our nation.
Millions of illegals, many donning the Mexican flag. Millions of muzzies from Syrians to Somalis, millions of Chinese nationals, many of whom are seeking to infiltrate corporate America/military in an effort to glean secrets or better known as espionage. We have hundreds of thousands of gang members, thugs the prey on the productive. Millions of inner city black vunna-bewls sittin on their @$$e$ each day lookin for their gubbamint handout. Eternal victim-hood.
This is not to mention the hundreds of enemies outside our borders looking to do us harm. Times are a looking tough. Folks should consider taking the necessary steps to protect and provide for their loved ones.
Gonna get quite messy when the next economic downturn hits in full swing.
Brit “hang face” Hume said yesterday we need a serious President and nether Hilary or Trump fit the bill.
A lot of us already suspected as much, now we have proof.
I hope the rest of the Uniparty elite come out of the closet like Bret did so we'll know to ignore whatever they have to say.
Sorry Brit, you need a serious electorate first. Right now you have identity group tug of wars and a majority of the public receiving one form of public assistance or another.
Complain that they have not fully disclosed his bias and ask that he be removed and rebuked
A confirmation for me from something four years old.
He opens himself up to the question: what if Hillary goes down in a sheet of flame? If Trump wins so big that in effect he has a “mandate” to carry out his promises despite resistance from Republican establishment types, will he realize that he is on the wrong side of history and start examining his priorities?
Well, we have too many Series Commontaters.
Globalist mouth pieces like this guy, Rush, Levin et al will never realize they are on the wrong side of history. Belief in Faux Trade and globalism is a religion to them.
Bret Stephens and the other 800 conservative ‘elites’ need to leave the GOP and form their own party.
We don’t need ‘em.
It’s corportist operatives like Stephens who are destroying the GOP. I’ve never had less enthusiasm for the GOP even with Trump being the nom.
“Whatever his political ideology he is nothing but a raving Fascist who wants everyone to conform to his view of the world.”
Clearly.
The Mexican Aristocracy puts the Saudis to shame....
I learned all I need to know the morning after BO was elected. Low information voters are worse than RINO’S and are killing America.
Mindless response. -1
