Term limits would still not be a bad idea for the USA, either. Blame Gingrich for dropping it.

In my estimation it would be even more important to limit the employment of all the career staffers and career bureaucrats, the shadow government.
Just limiting members of Congress but not those people would cause major “power behind the throne” issues, with the permanent political class pulling the strings of green lawmakers.
