On Wednesday, Special Operations troops from more than a dozen countries jumped out of helicopters, rappelled from buildings and expended hundreds of rounds of ammunition as they attempted to rescue the mayor of this Florida city.

Why are they practicing this?
Did they have blue helmets?
There is always a military convention down there every two years. They also have a ‘scenario’ around the same time.
SOFIC is SOCOM’s industry “day”. Over 600 vendors and lots of demonstrations like the one described in the article. Actually can be a fun time and blue helmets are not around. Any Freeper that likes to look at some heavier ordnance than at your average gun show would love spending a few hours at the show.
I wrote that comment prematurely; before I opened the article.
In recent years, these “exercises” raised alarm bells ...not applause.
It looked like an awesome time.

It is. I was there last year and was supposed to be there this year but ended up about 8,000 miles away.
Special operations forces from other countries assaulting an American city is not cool. Its unconstitutional for one thing. Oh wait we did away with that. Never mind. It does remind me that my AK 74 needs cleaning though.

Because they can. The stupidity of the American public cannot be overemphasized including a cadre of creepers.
It’s an exercise. Blanks. Artillery simulators. Militaries, especially Special Operations Forces, need to exercise in realistic environments. If/when they show up with blue helmets and real bullets to impose some jacked-up type of order on us, I’ll be one of the first to fire on them.
Until then, I’m going to chill on the non-threatening stuff and just enjoy the show. Besides, it’s a good way to judge their capabilities and tactics.
You are an example of what my previous posts alluded to. Do you not know or understand that foreign troops are not supposed to be on American soil? Of course you don’t. If you are not infuriated by it I have no further advice for you.
Good post 2. It amazes me how some of our own folks do not get the no ‘foreign troops on American soil’ nightmare. We should be infuriated.
Believe me I am infuriated and so is Mr. GG2.
