Knoxville vape companies are fuming mad after the FDA passed new regulations this month. They say this new law will put an end to the vaping industry.
They are shocked at how far reaching the regulations are, and now they're afraid the new restrictions will destroy the industry.
Hunter Allison with Tri State Vape Company will have to submit an application for each new product. He says that would come with a hefty price tag. Allison says, "The absolutely lowest price I've seen is $300,000 per product and that's $4.5 million for me and there's no possible way.
He's already put $150,000 into his e-liquid manufacturing company.
He says more money will put him out of business.
Store owners say they've made some major contributions to the community employing 15 people and generating $280,000 in tax revenue. They say new regulations will put them out of business, and they won't be the only ones. Bill Livezey says, "They've basically blanketed the industry with such rigorous standards that no one is going to survive this."

Everybody has their own little niche that they will support without any thought to the bigger picture..........

I used vaping to quit smoking. It worked well enough that I was able to quit both habits.

The Declaration doesn’t determine what the federal government has the authority to do. If they don’t have Constitutional authorization to do something, then they aren’t “supposed” to be doing it, period.
The only companies that can afford these regulations are big tobacco companies, they are late to the vaping party but they are doing it now.
Big Tobacco and Big Government already have the tax avenues in place to tax the vapers at cigarette rates - they miss that revenue. Vaping took away billions of dollars in tax money, they want it back.....enter FDA.

My guess is that Big Tobacco demanded and got a chokehold on the action through regulations they could easily afford but shut out the little guy.
I’d say there needs to be a vape equivalent of roll your own.
And just how nanny are you going to get. Do we require health certificates before someone buys a dozen calorie laden doughnuts?
Contrariwise, vaping has worked fairly well as a quitting route.
LOL. What's to stand up for? I was asking for regulation as were millions of of other conservatives.
Therefore, the only legal claim is if the FDA can prove vaping is harmful. But they can't. We don't have a precautionary principle in law: the FDA has to make bogus claims in order to claim jurisdiction.
They also can't claim it's tobacco, because it isn't.
What you're saying is like saying mouthwash should have a tax stamp because it contains alcohol.
They're simply lying and unlawfully extending their authority in large part through the sloppy reasoning you just exhibited.

Unfortunately, they don’t do anything about it. Note the already onerous regs and taxes on tobacco. No regs abolished, nor taxes down, whoever runs the show!
Vape suppliers should just go black-market. Better money there anyway.
Unless you're a teenager who experimented with vaping, got addicted then took up smoking.
Or there could be a roll your own vape market (blend your own? vodka and tobacco, would that work in the vape dispensers?)
There is always the marginal case. A car could get you wrapped around a telephone pole too.
