House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) unveiled what he called the Republicans“ “policy agenda” for 2017 on Wednesday, including a plan to regain the legislative power granted to Congress in Article One of the U.S. Constitution.

“Article One,” Ryan said at a pen and pad briefing with reporters at the Capitol, “this is something that our members are very animated about because this has gotten out of control. This is about the separation of powers, about the Constitution, and wresting control away from decades of executive overreach and giving it back to Congress,” he said.

Ryan noted that President Barack Obama is not the only president to employ “executive overreach” to advance his agenda. “But this president has taken it even further than anyone before,” Ryan said. …

Yeah, “policy agenda for 2017” but not this year. Advancing the homosexual agenda by executive “directive” is just fine for this year, but anything geared towards undoing it next year is a no-no?

It can be advanced with a new Republican President.

If Hillary wins though, I expect it to be quietly scrapped.

It’s for 2017, so he’s not getting tough at all. Except against a GOP president.

St Paul and his ilk seek to reign in Exec overreach so the Donald cannot use the precedents set by the Muslim from Indonesia. That is just too rich!!!!!! Anyone still wondering why I ripped up my GOPee card in 2006 after voting straight R for 40 years?

“If Hillary wins though, I expect it to be quietly scrapped.”

If God forbid that should happen ( believe that she can run even while under indictment, or, for that matter, even under house arrest with an ankle bracelet), there won’t be the votes, no matter what happens in November. Then there will be a lot of noise from Ryan, O’Connell, et al about needing more support/funding to defeat those nasty Democrats.

Yup had Yebbie, Ryan, (Cruz?), or Mittens been the nominee, executive overreach would have been fine. I read more than once, the thinking was let Bamster reach as far as he wants, then the GOP will benefit with same overreach for their agenda.

I think every last one of these incumbents needs to be primaried!

Patriots, please beware that Ryan did not mention that corrupt Congress has been letting federal officials outside the legislative branch get away with exercising legislative powers that the feds have been stealing from the states, along with state revenues uniquely associated with those state powers, for many generations.
“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

And the corrupt Washington cartel is probably not going to surrender those stolen state powers and revenues back to the states anytime soon, at least not before Trump is elected.

He (meaning short stuff, cowardly ryan) has got to be kidding!! he surely does think we are so dumb he can say this with a straight face and we will buy it. Gullible we are not... They make me angry every time they try to pull this stuff...it’s insulting... and he’s a liar. They are so corrupt, there are no words to use any more to describe them.
