“NATO is military welfare provided by America to those that don’t choose to defend themselves.”

George Washington correctly warned future generations not to get entangled in treaties with foreign nations in his farewell address to the American people:

“The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop. Europe has a set of primary interests which to us have none; or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves by artificial ties in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities.”

Washington also stated, “Harmony, liberal intercourse with all nations, are recommended by policy, humanity, and interest. But even our commercial policy should hold an equal and impartial hand; neither seeking nor granting exclusive favors or preferences; consulting the natural course of things; diffusing and diversifying by gentle means the streams of commerce, but forcing nothing; establishing (with powers so disposed, in order to give trade a stable course, to define the rights of our merchants, and to enable the government to support them) conventional rules of intercourse, the best that present circumstances and mutual opinion will permit, but temporary, and liable to be from time to time abandoned or varied, as experience and circumstances shall dictate; constantly keeping in view that it is folly in one nation to look for disinterested favors from another; that it must pay with a portion of its independence for whatever it may accept under that character; that, by such acceptance, it may place itself in the condition of having given equivalents for nominal favors, and yet of being reproached with ingratitude for not giving more. There can be no greater error than to expect or calculate upon real favors from nation to nation. It is an illusion, which experience must cure, which a just pride ought to discard.”

No, NATO should be bowing down kissing America’s feet for all we’ve done for them. They’ve done NOTHING for America’s benefit. It’s all take, take, take with them. Enough already.

McCain once again doing what he does, the death of 10,000 cuts. (Yes I know 1,000, but it’s McCain!)

McCain thinks he’s the U. S.’ fairy god father.

No, he’s just the U. S.’ town drunk, too stupid to take a pass on treachery and treason.

Sadly, too many think highly of McCain.

The media constantly uses him as a canard to trash good policy and support terrible policy.

McLame admits he is all talk, no action!
McLame cannot close the deal and get things done.

Military welfare, he’ll. It’s mostly a great big expensive bureaucracy of overpaid do nothing’s on generous tax free salaries with housing subsidies. It should have come doWn with the Berlin Wall.

Considering how much McCain is DESPISED by the country, especially conservatives, this only helps Trump.

The UK actually helped. Some other nations (mostly British Commonwealth) actually helped. Other NATO members contributed non-combat stuff. There was more. But regardless, this is just a red herring from the 2008 and 2000 loser candidate, who's on his way out the door of the Senate as well.

“I agree with him to this extent, that our Nato allies should pay more and I’ve been urging all of that, all of us have, for years and years.

Uh Juan, could you provide a link to verify that statement?

Most NATO countries did not help in the Middle East wars.
