An Australian woman who set out to climb Mount Everest to prove that “vegans can do anything” died Saturday after developing altitude sickness.

Maria Strydom, 34, had reached the final camp from the summit before she and her husband, Robert Gropel, both began suffering from high-altitude pulmonary edema, which caused fluid to build up in Strydom’s brain, the Washington Post reports.

Very expensive to get a body down from Mt. Everest. I read an article somewhere which indicated a lot of them just remained. No health danger as they are permanently frozen at that high altitude.

Of course, the “vegan” status is just a farce. Humans can’t continue to exist without certain amino acids that can ONLY be found in animal products. They are just lying, like a good “progressive.”

Eating red meat would have boosted her red blood count, which would have meant more oxygen to her cells. It appears that being a vegan contributed to her death.
