K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid. An old adage and never more true and effective. The American electorate is very uninformed and self-consumed. Tactics/slogans , whatever you call it is effective and sinks in and creates a situation where cross association begins. Not rocket science. I drive a 1971 International Harvester for this reason , no computers ...point’s and a condenser all things are simple and strong. The tires can be changed with two heavy duty screwdrivers after removal (split ring rims)....no need for a machine as I run tubes in good radials. Think about it for a second.
