The vast majority of illegal immigrants the Border Patrol apprehends are released into the U.S., the head of the agents’ union testified before a Senate panel Thursday.
“We’re releasing basically everybody as long as you’re not from the country of Mexico. And even if you’re from the country of Mexico and you claim that you have a credible fear and you’re asking for asylum for one reason or another — we’re still releasing those individuals,” Brandon Judd, the president of the National Border Patrol Council, said before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest.
He added, “If I were to guess, I would say that at least 80 percent of the individuals that the United States Border Patrol arrests at the border qualify for this catch and release program and in essence we are just letting them come into the United States.”
Earlier in the hearing Judd described the administration’s policy of releasing illegal immigrants apprehended at the border into the U.S., in some cases with a notice to appear and in other cases — if they claim to have been in the U.S. since before 2014 — without additional paperwork.
“If you are an unaccompanied minor we will not only release you, but will escort you to your final destination. If you are a family unit, we will release you. If you claim credible fear, we will release you. If you are a single male and we do not physically see you cross the border and you claim that you have been in this country since 2014, we will release you,” he detailed.

Beyond unacceptable. We can only hope the minimum flood into the USA before Donald Trump gets inaugurated January 20th. That very day Trump had better issue orders stopping this travesty and invasion.

The US Border Patrol is full of fine and dedicated men. The Border Patrol has been turned into a welcome wagon/meals on wheels program for invaders on our southern border.

If I was a “wanted criminal” from anywhere in the world, my destination would be the good ole USA.
President Trump is going to be a very busy man on day one..... and far beyond.
Since it is against the law to do so, all federal employees who have been part of it must be fired and prosecuted, no matter if they were ordered to or not. It is not a defense to say your boss ordered you to break the law. Several thousand govt employees breaking rocks for 10 years would act as an object lesson to the rest.

You say that because you are poorly informed. Trump, like Obama and George Bush, will have a policy that is determined by the money that Congress appropriates.
The US has a policy of quickly returning to Mexico, Mexican illegals caught in the border zone, because Mexico accepts them. And most illegal Mexicans consent to this because the apprehension doesn't go on their record.
But, Mexico won't accept illegals from other countries(Other than Mexican-OTMs), say El Salvador or China.
These OTMs have to be returned to their home country and they have to be given a hearing before they can be returned, and the home country must accept them before they can be returned.
Which means, you have to have detention facilities, officers, judges, courtrooms, and everything else needed to hold them until they can be sent back.
That takes money.
This was a very big issue back in 2005, it was called "catch and release". Because they couldn't be given a hearing at the time they were apprehended, the Border Patrol would give the OTM a written "order to appear" for his hearing, then released, and wouldn't return for his hearing. All the OTMs knew this and would turn themselves into the first officer they could find after they crossed the border
So Bush finally got Congress to appropriate more money so he could deal with the catch and release of the OTMs. But Congress said that women and children OTMs can't be held in a jail, they have to be detained in a "home like setting", which means they get catch and release.
So today, the women and children OTMs look for the first officer they can find after they cross the border.
This is like any and all problems, it can be solved with more money, but Congress has to appropriate the money. Same way with Sanctuary Cities: get Congress to appropriate more money instead of pushing it off on local law enforcement and the local taxpayers.

Obama has set aside $17,000 each for welfare for his ‘migrants’- Mexican/ S Americans [with a proven mix of muslims] flooding over the open border as well as his importing thousands upon thousands muslim ‘refugees’ (colonists,future Jihadists)- all future rat voters AGAINST OUR WILL?
This is more than our seniors on SS make in a year after helping make America the greatest country the world has ever known.
This insanity has got to stop.

Donald WILL run into many problems trying to build a wall, but in the meantime, he WILL put enough guards on the border to secure it- and put a stop to the importation of muzzie ‘refugees’.
