If their is a fiscal collapse and another depression I can see a lot of states breaking off and going their own way. Texas and a huge chunk of the plains states.

Secession is for the people of each state to decide on. If the people vote for secession the sitting governor has very little to say in the matter.

Texas, for sure. I could see - they’re the only ones that even brought the subject up.

If the last seven years are any indication of the level of outrage people are willing to put up with, I wouldn’t count on it.
