I knew Petraeus a long time ago and had a great deal of respect for him. Today, I’m not sure whether I misjudged him or he changed a lot. In either case, he has no more loyalty to the United States or to Western culture than he has toward his wife.

I am all for free association, including those who choose to work for organizations in the middle east, but we need some sort of tracking of who’s on what payroll. So many of our top level leaders and executive branch Secretaries end up working for interests that are not necessarily in our US interests. Not that other voices can’t be heard. We just need to know who’s voice we are hearing. In this case it’s not General Petraeus, but rather foreign lobbyist Petraeus. The two are not the same thing.
