I am humbled and disheartened at the same time. I once thought well of this man, especially in the heyday of the Contract with America and its implications. He was a congressman of whom I saw, read about and even felt some kinship with.

Yeah, just like Issa, Gowdy, and a whole host of “repubicans” who are all horn and no driveshaft! If we did an honest assessment of the Congress, we would RIF 90% of them. They have made “conservative” a perjorative term.
