Much like the definition of “is”, we now need to parse the meaning of “withdrew”.
This would have been the case if Cruz stayed in as well because he was such a terrible candidate. Lying Ted was going to roll into Cleveland with about 600 delegates and less than half of what Trump had because he only appeals to a niche group of supporters like Rand/Ron Paul.
Trump reaching the majority threshold was never really in doubt except for the media narrative from record setting opposition that failed miserably.
Is that what you call it? He is still scheming behind the scenes whenever he isn't crying into his bowl of cheerios.

The count there is that Donald Trump has 1,177 delegates and needs 60 more delegates to clinch the nomination at 1,237

I was worried until the five states back East rolled over for him a few weeks back, and it became clear Oregon, Washington, and California were leaning heavily toward him.

If this were tight, I’d be urging caution about that 1177 count. If he doesn’t actually have it, he’s about to go way over it next Tuesday, so no problem.
IMO, the guy winds up with close to 1500 delegates.

Edward the CCA has all his career jumped from one job to another. A lot has been said about his citizenships but nothing about his Cuban ancestory. Didn’t papa Cruz still have Cuban citizenship when Edward was born? I know papa didn’t get Canadain citizenship until afterwards due to the Canada rules of being on the land for five years.
