Ted Cruz on Saturday used his first speech since dropping out of the presidential race not to endorse Donald Trump or urge Republican unity behind him, but to maintain that core conservatives can save America.
Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, countered by deploying a top surrogate who did his best to woo skeptical Texas conservatives. Addressing thousands of cheering delegates at the Texas Republican Convention, many of whom climbed to their feet and waved red-white-and-blue "Thank You Ted!" signs, Cruz repeated some of the same promises from his defunct White House campaign, like abolishing the IRS.
"People ask, 'Are you disappointed?' Of course you're disappointed," Cruz said. But he also insisted he remains optimistic about American conservatism. "That movement is far more important than any one campaign, far more important than one candidate," Cruz said. "We may face some challenges ahead, but I am convinced that movement, the men and women gathered here, will be the remnant, will be the core of the movement pulling this country back from the abyss."

That was incredibly rude and ill-bred of the delegates who walked out on Sen. Sessions. It just proves what kind of spoiled and petulant brats those delegates are. They’re ignorant, arrogant trash.
cruz is so smart for making an explicit alliance with the GOP establishment. They'll chose the loser (cruz) again this time just like last time and every time.
Ted Cruz #foreverHillary
Okay so we know they dislike Trump, I mean DUH very obvious . But for all of them to Dis a Elder Statesman just makes you ask where is their Character and Respect. This reveals their True Character and makes you understand Why this whole Election went the way it did.
Article and # 2 .
Thanks, Easternsky.
That prolly happened a while back...
Vote Trump!
Cruz.. definitely a TRUE small minded PLICK.
The movement may live to see another day, but Cruz is toast.
The man is virtually the nominee at this point, and is literally unopposed. There is no onus on him to do anything right now, except prove that he could do a better job than Hillary... which isn’t a very big hurdle to jump over.
I could guarantee you that if Cruz had won as Trump now has, the vast majority of Trump supporters would vote for Cruz, no complaints and no questions. We all understand that Hillary is just Obama 2.0, which must be worse than V 1.0 because it would build on the “accomplishments” of Obama. No 3rd party has won, ever, so the only hope to stop her and the catastrophe that she will bring is Donald Trump. When will you Cruz people get over your guy losing, recognize this fact and get on board? Your country literally depends on you doing that.
Show who?
I’m in Texas, and I wouldn’t vote for cruuuze for anything.
Not even for dog catcher...
Just for starters: WTF is “ conservative” about a congress that allows a $19bb deficit ?
He’s only a disappointment to those who couldn’t see through his fakery. Most of us on this board fought tooth and nail to divulge the true character of Ted Cruz - we could see through him. Alas, his bots defended his every action and word - so sad.
“Don’t be a such a bitter winner. Be gracious like Mr. Trump and surf the landslide. Hillary is the most bloodcurdling, criminal, irritating, loathsome and noxious opponent that Trump could have ever finanaced dreamed of.”
Your profile set alongside your posts is something of an earmark among you people. Were you like that before your supported “Ted”, and you just found a kindred spirit, or did he mold you people into what you are now?
“Did He Mold you”? That is a question I ponder on quite often, a Friend of mine has totally changed His personality and it really troubles me. What Happened to them. This was before He lost, Such vile has been spewed by them and still continues.
Cruz has become disgusting.
I can’t tell if he cracked, or if he always was and just did a better job hiding it. Maybe Glen Beck is contagious.
