Mark Zuckerberg to meet with conservative media figureheads

Mark Zuckerberg invited prominent conservative media figures, including Glenn Beck and Dana Perino, to a meeting at Facebook's headquarters this week. The meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, is aimed at addressing the alleged suppression of conservative news stories in Facebook's "trending" stories section. Along with Perino and Beck, other confirmed attendees include Arthur Brooks of the American Enterprise Institute, CNN conservative commentator SE Cupp, and Zac Moffatt, co-founder of tech firm Targeted Victory. Moffatt was previously Mitt Romney's digital director.

This, at best, is treading water for him if the issue is simply Trumpiness.
Trump himself probably doesn’t have a dog in this fight, however. As long as Twitter is carrying his sniping at Hillary, etc. that’s all he expects out of social media.

I guess the way it works is the facebook “community” causes articles to “trend” by resending them.
Facebook editors were looking at what the “community” was causing to “trend” and removing articles it disfavored from the “trending” feed.
Or something like that.

Not a very strong group of conservatives there. While he did some good things when at CNN and Fox, the current version of Beck should not be a prominent name in conservative media. I suppose he is there because The Blaze articles were targeted for removal by FB, but I would still rather see a more stable radio host than Beck included.

Wouldn’t it be really funny if, directed from FB headquarters, we suddenly saw a surge in Cruz-pumping articles. Just for spite of Trump.
At any rate, knowledgeable people should trust Facebook’s idea of trending as far as they can throw it.
