Everyone who claims a false Indian heritage claims it’s Cherokee. It’s to laugh.

Cherokee has a registry. My kids are on it, even though they are only 1/ 32nd. They have a little more Indian from my side, but can’t prove it. So it’s not a good idea to claim Cherokee. They keep records.
The Cherokee actually had slaves, but they won’t give descendants of their slaves any recognition as belonging to the Cherokee nation.
