GREEN BAY, Wis. (May 14, 2016) House Speaker Paul Ryan says he doesn't have a timeline for unifying behind presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
During a news conference Saturday in Green Bay, Wisconsin, reporters asked Ryan whether he hopes to have party unity before the GOP convention in July. He says "this is a process, we still have some time to go."
Ryan also says that Republicans are in the process of unifying while "Democrats are still ripping each other apart."
Ryan says he and Trump will have policy disputes, "no two ways about it," but that it's important there be "real party unity, not pretend party unity."
Ryan says that while there are questions about Republicans refusing to back Trump, "we're really in the never Hillary camp."
To paraphrase Pat Buchanan, where did the idea that we care about Paul ‘Hamlet’ Ryan get started?
And why do we care about GOP unity when an outsider just kicked their backsides with our approval and thanks?
He’s waiting to see what mittwit comes up with.
I bet there is a timeline to replace his ass.
He’s stalling to see if Mitt can cook something up.
Just a thought is Ryan staying neutral so if something thwarts Trump’s nomination, he can say he’s the person who stayed neutral and is the unifier? That he’ll only run with unanimous consent? That does seem to be his MO. It’s gotten so I really, really don’t like his game. He’s coming across as a totally sold out manipulator.
I sent his campaign my contribution early last week.
Ryan’s conduct is a prime example of what is wrong with the attitudes of those elected to represent us in Washington DC.
Pisants go to Washington and think they are elephants.
Ryan was elected to congress with a vote count of 182,316 in one congressional district in southern Wisconsin.
Donald Trump has so far received almost 9 million votes in the primary caucuses and elections.
With 9 states and the District of Columbia still to vote he has already surpassed Romney’s final total in 2012 by more than 2 million votes.
Yet Ryan is strutting around like a bantam cock or white skinned Barack Obama telling Trump what he should do.
Ryan and others sitting on their duffs in Washington afraid to confront Barack Obama’s tyranny are telling the world they are afraid Donald Trump will harm the Republican party.
But their warning is too late - they have already brought the party to the brink of destruction.
Donald Trump’s success is the proof.

So, in Ryan’s pea-brain, the dates of the convention and the November election are not even on his calendar? Maybe Ryan will consider unification behind Trump in President Trump’s second term. By then Ryan would have been run out of town on a rail, and he is a cheese salesman in Wisconsin. Mitt’s arrogance and hubris must have rubbed off on Ryan last Presidential cycle.
CANTORIZE YOUR WEASEL, WISCONSIN!
I cant find any polling data on the interwebs for the 1st Wisconsin house race.
Probably because they would show Ryan losing.
Ryan says a lot of things....meh
Why?
'Cause people like me will NOT back him. Will not vote for him... and will activily work against him.
We are not amused by the shenanigans under-minding the person chosen by the people...

Well said. Agreed.
What amazes me is they (ryan and his cohorts) still think they hold cards in this.
...
He does have the core of crooks in the GOPe behind him, but he’s going up against the rank and file behind Trump.
[The last guy who decided to run a genius campaign got steamrolled and the same will happen to Ryan.]
Long shot at the most...
Excerpt...
The poll found that Ryan leads Nehlen by a margin of 84-10 among conservatives in the district and 66-22 among moderates.
Yes, get rid of the snot nose punk. He has spent his life in DC. Since age 28 or so.
How’s Ryan’s re-election campaign going?
