They are concerned about this John Miller person, Trump’s PR person from 25 years ago. They don’t know how to deal with Miller, so they fell in line.

Good they endorsed him, but I hope when Trump gets in he gives them all a swift kick in the *ss to make them start doing what they’re elected to do.

***************

They wanted Trump to meet with them to stroke their egos. That’s how Capitol Hill works. Now they can claim to their gullible constituents back home that they have personally met with the party’s nominee to make him aware of things the district wants. Its all about appearances. Its a big con game.

They needed time to go through the grieving process as the Truth overwhelmed their normally sordid convictions - they realize they have a better chance riding Trump's coattails than toeing the Party line.

I would also imagine that they are also hoping for him to be an epic failure so they can revert to the Party line down the road and call the science "settled"....some who 'endorse" him do so with clenched teeth and don't want to face the consequences if he's successful - once he is in the WH, they will be throwing up roadblocks even as they "endorse" him. It's what they are good at.
