Yep, that is the biggest un-told story of the last 30 years. Hispanics that are here LEGALLY are no happier with illegals flooding in and taking their jobs than the rest of us.
There is a Mexican family in my neighborhood who came here legally. They opened a small grocery store about a decade ago. They now own FOUR stores and a restaurant. Worked their butts off to achieve the American Dream.
I’d think the last thing they would want is for the drug-dealing gang-bangers they fled in Mexico to turn up here.

Most legal Hispanic Americans do oppose illegal immigration unless they have been radicalized by La Raza and Chicanos por la Causa types.
Those groups are subversive.

Most Hispanics in the US are citizens, and were born here.
Along with naturalized Hispanic citizens, both those categories would be expected to value legal status.
Mr. Trump needs to assure people that he knows the distinctions.
