onyx, I agree with you.
We have to remember that, as great as Trump is, the media is still dominated by the Left, and they despise Gingrich.
Gingrich would be a great Chief of Staff or a National Security Adviser, as he can be an excellent spokesman when those roles require that function.
I would like to see someone in their fifties be the VP, so the Trump legacy can be continued.
I do NOT want to see an establishment minder assigned to Trump at the convention, like GHW Bush was mandated for Reagan.
Trump needs no one the GOP wants in power.
And neither do we.
Their day is over.
I trust Trump to make the right decision.
A lot of what is being floated now is just to keep the media chasing their tails.
Pass the popcorn.
The last VP to be elected president when first eligible was Bush I in 1992. Before that, it was ... I don’t know, but it was before FDR. Truman and Johnson don’t count because they had already succeeded to the presidency before being elected to it. Nixon doesn’t count because it was eight years after he lost to Kennedy.
So looking for someone who could win in 2024 is not a good strategy. We need someone who can help Trump win (and be successful) NOW. Eight years from now is way too far in the future or predict who would make a good candidate.
