Sure the military responders were spinning up the aircraft engines when Obama, Hillary and Jarrett grounded them in the name of the president.

The name OBAMA should carry the legacy of cowardice forever. It was probably the most shameful episode in America history to let the four defenders be murdered by the terrorists in Benghazi.

(No wonder God is displeased with Obama's America.)

There is discussion that Hillary Clinton stopped the military. How could she? The Secretary of State doesn’t control the military.

There are stories that Hussein 0bama was in his words "all wee weed up" and was "unavailable". Still, you'd think that Sec of Defense would make the call, but since Madam Benghazi has long billed herself as "Co-President" when Bubba was in charge, she, along with Valerie Jarrett, most likely made the call.

All of this has been about covering up the decisions made by her and Jarrett because Obama was incapacitated.

Obama has never answered why he did not make the calls that night. Biden, Panetta, Dempsey were all AWOL as well.

Seems no one checked in after the 5:30 pm meeting about the situation.

These SOBs are complicit in the death of 4 Americans and leaving 42 Americans hung out to dry in a 13 hour battle for survival.

But Obama was able to fly to Las Vegas for fun and games the next morning.

The US military cannot cross borders without first notifying and getting permission from President or State. In this case her role was to liaison with the Libyan govt while or boys flew in from Italy, she was no where and the Bastard was flying to Las Vegas.

Well it's all a sordid tale of TREASONOUS criminal activity. The 0bama regime was running guns and weapons to our enemies and they wanted to portray the situation in the Middle East as controlled and becoming more peaceful. This was to make the 0bama regime's foreign policy look like it was coherent, for re-election purposes. A military response, especially if it resulted in a protracted battle, would garner attention and questions they didn't want to answer and certainly would contradict the "party line". Therefore, they decided that the best response was NO RESPONSE. After all, they had to protect the 'elites' and what were the lives of a few "peasants"?

They are more scared of backlash than muslim terrorists? Does this make any sense?

I think you’ll find that once Trump looks like he will win, someone will speak out...

Till then as all the MSM is saying Hitlery will win, no-one will speak, as they all know about the “body count” around the Clintoon Crime family and God forbids that it wins, they’d be in a world of trouble.

Few liberals know anybody currently serving in the military and even fewe have served. And for all their pride over being left to empathize with people of different cultures they sure fail when it comes to our soldiers.

As described (and published, Mar 29, 2013: http://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/191373/betrayal-benghazi-colonel-phil-handley).

Col Handley is a close friend of mine and I also posted his comment here on FR.

The combat code of the US Military is that we don’t abandon our dead or wounded on the battlefield. In US Air Force lingo, fighter pilots don’t run off and leave their wingmen. If one of our own is shot down, still alive and not yet in enemy captivity, we will either come to get him or die trying. Among America’s fighting forces, the calm, sure knowledge that such an irrevocable bond exists is priceless. Along with individual faith and personal grit, it is a sacred trust that has often sustained hope in the face of terribly long odds.

The disgraceful abandonment of our Ambassador and those brave ex-SEALs who fought to their deaths to save others in that compound is nothing short of dereliction-of-duty. Additionally, the patently absurd cover-up scenario that was fabricated in the aftermath was an outright lie in attempt to shield the President and the Secretary of State from responsibility.

It has been over eight months since the attack on our compound in Benghazi. The White House strategy, with the aid of a “lap dog press” has been to run out the clock before the truth is forthcoming. The recent testimonies of the three “whistle blowers” have reopened the subject and hopefully will lead to exposure and disgrace of those responsible for this embarrassing debacle.

It would appear that the most recent firewall which the Administration is counting on is the contention that there were simply no military assets that could be brought to bear in time to make a difference… mainly due to the unavailability of tanker support for fighter aircraft. This is simply BS, regardless how many supposed “experts” the Administration trot out to make such an assertion. The bottom line is that even if the closest asset capable of response was half-way around the world, you don’t just sit on your penguin *** and do nothing. The fact is that the closest asset was not half-way around the world, but as near as Aviano Air Base, Italy where two squadrons of F-16Cs are based.

Consider the following scenario (all times Benghazi local):

When Hicks in Tripoli receives a call at 9:40 PM from Ambassador Stevens informing him “Greg, we are under attack!” (his last words), he immediately notifies all agencies and prepares for the immediate initiation of an existing “Emergency Response Plan.” At AFRICON, General Carter Ham attempts to mount a rescue effort, but is told to “stand down.” By 10:30 PM an unarmed drone is overhead the compound and streaming live feed to various Command and Control Agencies… and everyone watching that feed knew damn well what was going on. At 11:30 PM Woods, Doherty and five others leave Tripoli, arriving in Benghazi at 1:30 AM on Wednesday morning, where they hold off the attacking mob from the roof of the compound until they are killed by a mortar direct hit at 4:00 AM.

So nothing could have been done, eh? Nonsense. If one assumes that tanker support really was not available… what about this:

· When at 10:00 PM AFRICON alerts the 31st TFW Command Post in Aviano Air Base, Italy of the attack, the Wing Commander orders preparation for the launch of two F-16s and advises the Command Post at NAS Sigonella to prepare for hot pit refueling and quick turn of the jets.

· By 11:30 PM, two F-16Cs with drop tanks and each armed with five hundred 20 MM rounds are airborne. Flying at 0.92 mach they will cover the 522 nautical miles directly to NAS Sigonella in 1.08 hours.

· While in-route, the flight lead is informed of the tactical situation, rules of engagement, and radio frequencies to use.

· The jets depart Sigonella at 1:10 AM with full fuel load and cover the 377 nautical miles directly to Benghazi in 0.8 hours, arriving at 1:50 AM… which would be 20 minutes after the arrival of Woods, Doherty and their team.

· Providing that the two F-16s initial pass over the mob, in full afterburner at 200 feet and 550 knots did not stop the attack in its tracks, only a few well placed strafing runs on targets of opportunity would assuredly do the trick.

· Were the F-16s fuel state insufficient to recover at Sigonelli after jettisoning their external drop tanks, they could easily do so at Tripoli International Airport, only one-half hour away.

· As for those hand-wringing naysayers who would worry about IFR clearances, border crossing authority, collateral damage, landing rights, political correctness and dozens of other reasons not to act… screw them. It is high time that our “leadership” get their priorities straight and put America’s interests first.

The end result would be that Woods and Doherty would be alive.

Dozens in the attacking rabble would be rendezvousing with “72 virgins”… and a clear message would have been sent to the next worthless POS terrorist contemplating an attack on Americans that it is not really a good idea to “tug on Superman’s cape.”

Of course all this would depend upon a Commander In Chief who was more concerned with saving the lives of those he put in harm’s way than getting his crew rest for a campaign fund raising event in Las Vegas the next day. As well as a Secretary of State that actually understood “What difference did it make?”, or a Secretary of Defense whose immediate response was not to the effect that “One of the military tenants is that you don’t commit assets until you fully understand the tactical situation.” Was he not watching a live feed from the unarmed drone… and he didn’t understand the tactical situation? YGBSM!

Ultimately it comes down to the question of who gave that order to “stand down?” Whoever that coward turns out to be should be exposed, removed from office, and face criminal charges for dereliction of duty. The combat forces of the United States of America deserve leadership that really does “have their back” when the chips are down.

Colonel Phil “Hands” Handley, USAF (Ret.) is credited with the highest speed air-to-air gun kill in the history of aerial combat. He flew operationally for all but 11 months of a 26-year career, in aircraft such as the F-86 Sabre, F-15 Eagle, and the C-130A Hercules. Additionally, he flew 275 combat missions during two tours in Southeast Asia in the F-4D and F-4E. His awards include 21 Air Medals, 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses, and the Silver Star.

Yes they have no use for our military, they don’t think we even need a military. Few will admit it but it is not hard to figure out that is how they feel.

I think that’s why.

We need to stop saying Ambassador Stevens was raped. Now that the story has been told by the heroes that were there, in book and movie form, we need to stick to the truth.

Chris Stevens died of smoke inhalation when they set the building on fire and he could not get out.

His body was found, dead, after the 13 hours. Many risked their lives going back into the burning building to find him.

If his body was raped it was after his death only.

Our liberal neighbor asked my husband why he was upset about Benghazi. When my husband told him those men were abandoned- just left to die he still didn’t get it. Then he had to leave our house because even a dumb liberal knows when they have pushed someone over the line. The liberal never did get it though, I guess in their mind it is ok to leave people to die when you could help them.

Liberals aren't who you think they are - they're insane. To be a part of the collective, they've sacrificed their humanity. Not symbolically - for real. If something bad happens outside the collective, it didn't happen.

It. Didn't. Happen.

Are you worried about the bus full of children that just exploded in the street outside your house? No? Why not? Don't you care about suffering children? Oh, it didn't happen?

That's how liberals feel about real life, outside of their collective. It. Didn't. Happen.

They're insane, and they spend hugs amounts of time faking sanity. But it's all fake - they feel NOTHING.

Oh I know they truly are insane. Our liberal neighbors are only snowbird neighbors their real house is near Boston. They do not understand us being upset about illegals and the crimes they commit and the fact that terrorists can cross this border as easy as anyone else.

They were very angry that according to them no one paid attention to the Boston bombing. They said the media didn’t cover it, people didn’t care...ok I know that isn’t true!

They did get a little excited when the Border Patrol busted a pickup load of drugs literally in front of their house here...pretty sure that doesn’t happen at their other home.

They do say crazy things...once the wife ask me what freedom is? She said people keep talking about freedom and she didn’t really know what they meant by that.

These liberal neighbors are supposed to be intelligent. He does medical software and she is a retired pharmacist. I just can’t comprehend them at all.

Thank you for that post. So much potential was raring to go. I appreciate what you or the Gen. said about never leaving our men, and how our military depends on that. Being ignorant of such things, I wonder if there is a way, if a civilian gives a stand down order, for a top military to disobey. Also, I am not sure if the Commander in Chief could ever be disobeyed. I suppose not. Because if the top order to stand down came from ANYONE other than the CinC, how could it be obeyed in this situation with what was clearly known (from the drones etc)?

Could there be a single soldier right now who wishes Hillary as their C in C???

We know from the third debate with Romney that call from the consulate was received in in the Washington, now if the media were doing their job, Panetta would be asked about how he carried out the order.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/transcript-of-final-2012-presidential-debate/
Now with respect to Libya, as I indicated in the last debate, when we received that phone call, I immediately made sure that, number one, that we did everything we could to secure those Americans who were still in harm’s way;
