I often contribute for a variety of reasons to online sites like Freerepublic.

I had joined with other Freepers many years ago and TV has been long gone from my house and need websites like FreeRepublic.

Very much like my lifestyle. Same income as 1984 when we retired...minus 1/2 the pension since I was widowed! Expenses only are lowered slightly when going on alone.

Everything shrinks in spending but I keep up the FR and the local donations to charities and people in need of food. Mostly now I give time and effort, but that is satisfying too.

Sharing my food for the past 3 years has been the reason for the loss of 30 pounds I had added over 20 years too...all a plus!

Some may be spending their money on various campaign donations, a few have mentioned that.

I hope they will also think about how great it is to come here to give and receive information, visit with others about things that are and are not election related.
