Elected leaders of the city that harbored an illegal alien-turned-killer last year are voting Tuesday on whether to pass an ordinance that would make San Francisco an even more hospitable sanctuary city for illegally present foreign nationals.
The Board of Supervisors is considering the measure, which would further tie the hands of local law enforcement, effectively preventing their ability to give an inmates personal information or release date to federal immigration officials, according to KQED radio. Supervisor John Avalos introduced the proposed pro-Sanctuary City change.

Federal law trumps local law. San Francisco elected leaders are acting in violation of federal law. Bring on Trump!!!
The justice department is having a press conference to denounce this today citing potential criminal and civil violation issues....oh wait, wrong lead in.
great idea. I’d these liberal cities want illegals, they should get overwhelmed by them and see how the citizens like it.
They don’t care too much for the tourism that supporters the city either. With crime increasing, people will stay away.
Throw a few dozen of these politicians in prison and the Sanctuary City nonsense will disappear overnight.
Politicians act, and keep acting, in illegal, irresponsible, and insensible ways because there is almost never any personal accountability for their criminality, lying, cheating or plain incompetence.
But Loretta Lynch wants to sue cities for their stance on LGBTQ (whatever the hell it is) bathroom laws.
Enforce ONLY the laws you want to. No double standard there. Nope, not any.
Yep, laws are made and enforced on US citizens. Cut off all federal dollars to San Fransicko, and problem goes away. It is very easy to fix.
Trump needs to cut these sanctuary cities off on day one.
I can picture Miss Loretta when some bruiser walks int a bathroom she's in---"Oh no you dint."
As long as men can use the women’s room I’m sure the Federal government couldn’t care less.
Good point - very good point.
I sometimes wonder if the next election will even matter.
Or Paul Kersey’s.
Fine.
NO checks issued to those zip codes (no as in NONE) until the madness ends.
That’ll fix it fast.
There are so many of these illegal or insane acts that probably can be corrected immediately by an incoming (and rational) Administration, that I wonder which will be prioritized.
Sanctuary Cities, Catch and Release and The Bathroom Fiasco all come to mind because they are in the news, but how many others are there?
This is Globalist Succession. Send in the tanks and burn the place to the ground!
SF seemed so much more appealing on the QM Production - The Streets Of San Francisco. I know it was TV but the exteriors looked good.
It appears San Fransisco did not get the memo from the DOJ or has the DOJ backed away from the new policy?

The only way to help San Francisco help itself is to suspend it’s elected representatives from Congress until such time as their district upholds the rights of American citizens by complying with federal immigration law.
As for the ‘bathroom’ law, men don’t care because it only affects women. So the solution is simple....Women, grab a galpal and invade men’s bathrooms everywhere. And take your dear sweet time at the sink primping and fussing. At stadiums, at the opera, at NASCAR, at the museums, at school events, at restaurants. Once men are forced to stand with crossed legs in the long lines women traditionally endure, the law will change - faster than you can say Jack Rabbit.
