Ted Cruz floated the possibility of restarting his presidential campaign if he wins Nebraskas GOP primary on Tuesday and avoided saying whether he supports Donald Trump's bid for president.
Cruz, who suspended his White House run last week, said he does not expect to win Nebraska's primary but is leaving the door open.
"We launched this campaign intending to win. The reason we suspended our campaign was that with the Indiana loss, I felt there was no path to victory," he said Tuesday on conservative host Glenn Beck's radio program.
"If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly."
Cruz demurred on supporting Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, because the Republican National Convention and general election are still months away.
"This is a choice every voter is going to have to make. I would note, it's not a choice we as voters have to make today," Cruz said when asked about supporting Trump.
He also brushed aside the prospects of a convention fight or third-party presidential bid.
Cruz and allies told supporters Monday night call that they would not try to block Trumps nomination but instead focus on influencing the partys platform and rules, according to Politico.
Cruz joins a number of prominent Republicans who have said they are not yet supporting Trump for president.
Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, and former GOP presidential nominees Mitt Romney and John McCain have all decided not to attend the party's convention in July, an apparent rebuke of Trump.
And House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said last week he was not ready to endorse Trump, adding he needed assurances that Trump would champion conservative ideas.
Cruz dropped out of the presidential race last week after losing big in Indiana's primary.

PING.
What’s the point? You’re already mathematically eliminated. Just give it for this election cycle.
I think the Nebraska Primary happens to be today. So we will soon know what Ted’s next step is going to be. His wife is still hot onto becoming First Lady at whatever costs.
He can get that 104%! Idiot.
Ted:
Go look up the word “farce.”
ZERO credibility now. Beck has infected him.
Go Cruz!
he’s in full damage control now and still dreaming.
could have had (and might still) have an incredible future.
Remember the Donald Trump of 20 years ago is not someone we would have been wanting to run the country.
with age comes wisdom. Also death, but that part I like to forget lol!!!!
he’ll never do it because he will forever be known as the guy who lost the same campaign twice.. he will be dead in politics after that
Romney had a word with him after his Kristol meeting?
Is Hillary going to share some of that money that Cruz’s donors just gave her? Is Cruz going to be Hillary’s V.P.? What about Jeb! he was the ‘promised one’ and then there’s Mittens and RINO RYAN to think about...and what about Carly??? she was snubbed for Rubio, as Cruz was saying if it wasn’t for Trump...
He’s got a lot to think about here, and he’s really not popular in the Senate and I don’t think he ever will be:
He really looks like an upstanding, God fearing Christian!
Oh, good grief! Death (of America) by a thousand paper cuts, compliments of King Ted. I am so frickin’ tired of this flim-flam man.
West Virginia will be huge win
In those three states Ohio , Florida and Pa Cruz never won a County or 20% of the Vote
Cruz did not turn out to be as smart as advertised. He could have taken the high road in this primary and used lofty rhetoric to rise above, but instead he got in the trenches with the Donald and diminished his self. I don’t understand why he couldn’t see how going toe to toe with Trump killed him, Rubio, and Bush at various times. He should have gone brainy Constitutionalist. He might have won.
I’m a Cruz supporter and will vote for him in the June 7th CA primary, but it’s time for Ted to leave the battlefield and live to fight another day (year). He will have some influence over the party platform and get a good speaking slot. He needs to let it go at that for the 2016 cycle.
Even if Cruz can’t eliminate Trump by delegate count, he can certainly parlay any event into an anti-Trump story. The goal is to reverse Trump’s momentum, add to the din that a Trump presidency would be a disaster, etc.
