Newt actually said he would be “hard-pressed” to turn down the offer (my wording) but the stipulations of a future President would almost certainly rule him out. I would love to see Newt involved in a substantial way, he commented earlier this week ... or maybe last week; how being on the outside has helped him to understand the problems the country is facing when he couldn’t see them from Washington.
I think Newt is in his best element right now when he is in a key advisory role and is actually listened to.
